About Tim Riley
After winning the largest jury verdict in U.S. history for a wrongful death medical malpractice action, Tim Riley was appointed Adjunct Professor of Law at Pepperdine University School of Law in 1985.
A noted trial attorney, Tim has been profiled in the LA Daily Journal. He is the co-author of Chapter 9, Volume 1, Forensic Sciences, editor Cyril Wecht, publisher Matthew Bender.
California Supreme Court Justice Markus M. Kaufman, retired, described Riley as a ‘sensational, conscientious and skilled attorney.’ ‘I can't say enough about him.’ Judge Kaufman reviewed an appeal by Riley: ‘He had insight into issues that interested the court and knew how to present them.’
Tim received his JD Degree from Cardozo School of Law in 1982; and a Bachelor of Professional Studies Degree, with Distinction, from Pace University in 1979. Tim was admitted to practice law in New York in 1983 and admitted to practice law in California in 1984.
Tim is an expert on the safety and environmental hazards of Liquefied Natural Gas and produced and directed the documentary film, The Risks and Danger of LNG, an Official Selection of The Malibu Film Festival. His documentary has helped educate legislative bodies, governmental officials and agencies worldwide. Environmental groups such as Sierra Club, and community leaders and activists globally, have hosted licensed screenings of the film to reveal the hazards of LNG and to mobilize opposition to LNG proliferation.
