About Leo Sullivan
Leo Sullivan is a real estate lawyer. He represents land owners and developers in the development, leasing and financing of large-scale biotech, office, shopping center, industrial, commercial, and apartment projects. He has worked on the development of biotech facilities in San Diego, Seattle, Boston, and Durham; Internet data centers in Los Angeles, Irvine, and Seattle; shopping centers in San Diego, Los Angeles and Palm Desert; apartment projects in Irvine, Anaheim, El Segundo, Truckee and the Bay Area; Transit-oriented apartment, office and hotel projects in San Francisco’s East Bay; and numerous office, industrial, commercial and retail projects in San Diego County. He was named by San Diego Magazine as one of the top five real estate attorneys in San Diego. He typically handles in excess of $750 million in transactions per year.

Leo is also a business lawyer, with over thirty years experience not only in real estate but in business, trusts, and related disciplines. He is experienced in partnerships, corporations, limited liability companies, land use, construction, title insurance, complex financing arrangements, real estate workouts and bankruptcy. Leo has represented family-owned and entrepreneurial businesses, and debtors in possession, creditors committees, and individual creditors in Chapter 11. Ted was a shareholder of Heller Ehrman LLP from 2003 to 2008. He began his legal career with Venture Law Group, where he joined its first associate class in 1995, until the merger of Venture Law Group with Heller Ehrman in 2003.

Ted practices corporate and securities law, representing emerging growth companies in general corporate matters, venture capital financings, technology transactions, and mergers and acquisitions. His clients include companies in the medical device, life sciences, software, telecommunications and electronics industries. In addition, Ted represents a number of venture capital funds in their portfolio investments. In his career, Ted has completed over 300 venture capital financings. 
Ted received his J.D. degree from the University of Michigan Law School (cum laude, 1995), his M.B.A. degree from The Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan (1994) and his A.B. degree in biology from Bowdoin College (magna cum laude, 1988).
