Join New York attorney Lisa Eisenberg for Immigration 101 – the story of how people come to the United States. Ms. Eisenberg discusses most commonly used nonimmigrant (temporary) visas and different ways to obtain permanent residence in the U.S., with a focus on family-based and employment-based preferences. The course starts with a brief discussion of the history of United States immigration laws. Ms. Eisenberg also touches upon the fundamentals of the asylum and refugee law and inadmissibility grounds.
Ms. Eisenberg is a member of American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and a Co-Chair of the New Members Division Committee of AILA's New York Chapter. She practices exclusively in the field of immigration law and specializes in business immigration.
