About John A. Gordon

John A. Gordon is Principal and founder of Pacific Management Consulting Group, an association of service sector senior management professionals providing management consulting expertise to diverse service sector companies.  Gordon has over thirty years experience in business, spanning roles from hourly associate to operations management, to corporate positions as Cost Analyst, Manager of Financial Planning and Budgeting and Chief Financial Officer.

John’s background is centered in financial management business operations and financial management (including, but not limited to; business plan and financing plan development, budgeting and financial planning and analysis, best practices and management systems implementation, and general management.

 He has over eight years experience in the management-consulting arena, working with over 100 business clients, and concentrated in the, restaurant and hospitality sectors. He had a prior role with an international strategy management-consulting firm, and 11 years experience cumulating as Chief Financial Officer for a $700M hospitality operator.  

Prior to his management consulting experience, he had experience with several public and private sector organizations in operational and financial management roles. A brief career summary follows:

  • Management Consulting: Principal and Senior Associate with two firms.
  • Chief Financial Officer, $700M international service sector operator.
  • Cost/Operations Analyst for $625M NYSE family steakhouse concept.
  • Multi-Unit Supervisor and General Manager, QSR restaurant chain.

John earned a BS in Business from Indiana University, and is active in many professional organizations.
